Senior Engineer, Full stack developer at Research Machines (RM plc)

Research Machines is a key player in the educational software market and at Otley we develped the Integris system of school management systems. A multiplatform system that includes both school and Local Authority software. In addition to this I was influential in developing pupil assesment and curriculum solutions for both the UK and Western Australia. A wide spread of technology was in use far too extensive to fully document in such a fast changing scene as software development but to include MS SQL Server, VB, C#, VBA, Xml, Json, Java and Javascript.

IT Biology Laboratory Teacher

Provision of basic IT skills and support for the computer and biology laboratories at several of the Joseph Priestly sites.

Sub Contract Panel Beater Paint Sprayer.

Accident repair, and repaints on cars and light commercial vehicles. With a smattering of classic vehicle restoration.

Prior to this self employment as a mechanic and panel beater.

Covering a whole swathe of time as a painter / panel beater and mechanic. Mainly self employed but with long stretches of employment as foreman or chargehand at dealer franchise's. Even including a period as a workshop manager in Johanasburg SA.

Motor Vehicle development and design Sarcon, Yeadon.

Consolidating a whole lot of creative work developing and producing racing and road going cars, both on my own account and for Sarcon at Yeadon Leeds. Skills at this period were in GRP, welding painting and even a little aero work.
