January 2025 Update

Work continues transferring noake.me to Astro 5.x

I have continued transferring content across from my previous site(s), improving as I go. Largely this is going well but there are still issues here and there. Next I think will be adding a database in and doing a build / publish to verify all is well.

The release of 5.1 has enabled server islands

This release has enabled me to continue developing the climate page. I had managed using a public API to get current CO2 and Methane data, the problem however was that it only refreshed on build and not on the page view. The release of server islands however has fixed this and the Gasses component now is a live island and fetches data on page view.

There is more to do but happy with this.

I would like a way to display to the user a list of useful links, this however is not proving easy - cosmetically. So this goes on the back burner while I investigate and review.

Kaleidoscope

Work continues here filling in the blanks. A lot of work really as each item creates the need for a new page and thus more content.

Tags

Tags is yet to implement and do I include keywords / categories, and is this to go in the database? Extra menu item, dropdown? All to think about.

Paging

Nice to report paging is done for blog list, however the extra funtionality available by showing previous / next on the actual page is still to implement. Plenty to do.
