The story so far

As usual I have gone marching on

As is my usual habit I have gone marching on with changes without documenting any! So lets have an update on the sites progress so far.

Footer changes

For no particular reason I made some changes to the footer in this instance using AI to help. I wanted an auto hide footer pinned to the bottom of the screen, and for the iPad mini etc it should show on the ‘pull down’ affordance. AI helped with the logic and functionality of this but not so much the cosmetics, certainly it didn’t produce the look I was after. Claude produced better results than GPT for me at any rate. Still a few issues I think but for now happy with the result.

A Knowledge Graph Layout

Very pleased with this, again AI helped enormously. This, I think was one task that would have been beyond me but which AI performed very well. My input here was lots of prompting to get the result I wanted and then a little tweak here and there.

GSAP

Using textSplit from GSAP. This is a great library for adding animations first off I have added a bit of movement to my consciousness page. Much more to do here but I will need to do a lot more research and thinking before moving on here. I also started my Top Links page by adding a little bit of movement, again loads to do here.

Coming Up

Well on my agenda is to investigate Clerk to implement some authorization in the site so I can lead on to adding functionality to enable commenting on posts and to protect the revisions table.

As mentioned the consciousness page is still waiting for a proper implementation so coming soon…

And let AI loose on making my SEO industry standard. That’l be interesting.

What I did do

Well none of the items on my agenda were completed. However I did make progress on the top links page and the consciousness page, so not all bad.
